Misa bidei shamayim by truma (Shabbos 25a)
The gemara says that one of the chumros for Truma over kodshim is that it has misa bidei shamayim. Why is this a chumra - Kodshim has kares? Rashi says that kares is early death and no children while misa bidei shamayim is only early death so how is this a chumra? Rashi seems to be trying to answer this question because he says in the explanation of misa that a zar who eats truma is chayav misa while a zar who eats kodshim is not. That is a chumra but isn't that already listed as of the chumros -asura l'zarim?

As for question that it is already listed, Rashi here addresses this.
The question that was really bothering me was that we seem to be double counting the asur l'zarim aspect. First of all it's asur (that's the fourth chumra) and second of all it's a chiyuv misa (first chumra). We can do the same thing by pigul or by any of the chumros.
Asur l'zarim has two aspects. One is that Teruma is always osur, whereas Kodshim is permitted after zerikah for Maser B'haima, Toda, and Shelomim. The second aspect is the punishment that a zar gets for eating it.
Isur nosar has two aspects. One is that past the time the kodshim is forbidden to eat, whereas Truma has no time limit. The seond aspect is the punishment that one gets for eating it past the time.
Why is that any different?
Truma has no isur of nosar and cosequently no punishment, but if it did have such an isur, the punishment would (probably) be the same. So there is no difference between them as to what the punishment should be.
The isur l'zarim by kodshim, where it applies, has a different punishment than the isur l'zarim by teruma.
makes sense. Thanks. It still seems like double counting a bit in that there is still only one thing by truma that we're counting but at least I understand now.
