Tinok Ben Yomo Maachil B'terumah

The mishna at the bottom of 43: says that a tinok ben yomo is maachil b’trumah. Rashi explains that a bas yisroel who is married to a kohen who dies before their child is born, can once again eat terumah “bo b’yom sh’nolad”. L’ch’ora, this is theoretical to make the point that a tinok ben yomo has the status to allow its mother to eat terumah, without requiring the baby to be 30 days old or some other point; but of course, l’maaseh, bo b’yom sh’nolad, the mother is tamei leidah and could not eat terumah anyway. But R’ Akiva Eiger in the Mishnayos learns this quite literally – that the mother can eat terumah bo b’yom sh’nolad. He is masbir that this baby was born yotze dofen aliba the Chachomim that yotze dofen is not mitamei the mother tumas leida.

On the comment of Rav Akiva Eiger's that a tinok ben yomo's mother can eat Terumah: If the gemara is talking about the mother actually eating on day one because the gemara is discussing a case where the baby was born a yotize dofon, kishitas chachamim that the mother is not metamie leidah by a yotzie dofen, then one has to ask, why add in the seemingly extraneous information about the mother being able to eat? The only answer would seem to be that the gemara added in the information about the mother being able to eat in order to point out that the mother can eat terumah if the birth was a yotzie dofen, thus proving the shitas chachamim. But if so, then when presenting the position of the chachamim that yotzie dofen is not metamieh tumas leidah, then why not bring this case as a proof to thier position? Hillel, I am interested in your thoughts.
